Proof of Concept: Learning Games

In continuation from last week’s post on creating a course for automotive technology, I have designed a simple proof of concept. Give it a try!

Last week I published a post regarding a proposed course that could accelerate the learning curve of automotive technology. The primary concern is for individuals to learn basic terminology, component functionality, and applied critical thinking skills while diagnosing a vehicle.

I propose that a serious game can reinforce learning and demonstrate practical application of knowledge in automotive technology.

An example unit from the proposed game design can be found here. While the images may not be ideal, I had to work with a time constraint and find royalty-free images that were representative. The actual design would utilize real pictures that I take using a high quality DSLR, and different animated sprites.

As always, check it out, leave a comment below letting me know what you think, and discuss this on Twitter.
